Royal Challengers Bengaluru clinched a close win by four wickets against Punjab Kings in their IPL match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday.

On his first outing with CSK, Mustafizur Rahman impressed everyone by snagging 4 wickets for just 29 runs, catapulting him to the top of the chart for wicket-takers.

Virat Kohli shone in the match, not only earning the ‘Player of the Match’ title but also securing the Orange Cap.

He’s scored a total of 98 runs across two innings. His dynamic 77 runs today, which came from just 49 balls and included eleven boundaries and two sixes, propelled RCB to their season’s opening win.

RCB had a strong opening in the powerplay, holding Punjab to a mere 40 runs and taking out Jonny Bairstow early on.

Jonny Bairstow missing a catch off Virat Kohli early in the innings turned out to be an expensive mistake for the team.

Shashank Singh worked wonders in the final stretch, boosting Punjab’s total to a solid 176 by the close of their innings.

Mahipal Lomror, along with his partner, emerged as the heroes for their team, steering them to a thrilling win in the last over with four wickets in hand.
